Vocal Meditation

Vocal meditation is a musical mindfulness practice designed for everyone, regardless of whether you consider yourself a singer or not! For musicians, this meditation provides a wonderful balance to more technical practice, and for others this is simply a beautiful way to connect to creativity.

This short playful practice focuses on the physical experience of creating sound, rather than the final result. It is a time to let go of all your judgements and ideas around good and bad sound, and simply just enjoy connecting to your breath and observing the vibrations in your body.

Before you begin, find a quiet place where you feel free to make noise (closet, bathroom, or bedroom)! I recommend listening with headphones, or through a good quality speaker so that our voices can more seamlessly blend together.
